The UK Turkeys campaign is back to help you find a local, farm fresh bird for the Christmas table this year. The new website www.ukturkeys.co.uk features:

The ‘Turkey Finder’ search facility allows you to look through over 340 local producers to locate your perfect bird.
“With producers listed from across the UK it’s the ideal way to order a quality turkey for the big day,” says Mike Bailey, Vice Chairman of the NFU Poultry Board.
The UK Turkeys website provides plenty of recipe ideas and showing you how to choose and carve your bird correctly. You can also go on the farm to find out about different turkey breeds, meet some of our farmers or step into the kitchen, where we'll be unravelling the mysteries of cooking times. And if the children are getting under your feet over the Christmas holidays, our Gobbler game should keep them out of mischief!

British farmers are renowned for producing food to a world-leading standard, but that's not all they do. Our farmers carefully manage the beautiful British countryside, maintaining a landscape that is home to a diverse range of wildlife and flora. By buying local, you're helping them to do that.
