NFU Food Finder reaches 300 businesses

The NFU's Food Finder has now reached 300 business listings. The Food Finder listing service was set up by the NFU as a way of sourcing local food and promoting NFU members' produce.
Food Finder is broken down in to regions, so there is no need to trawl through hundreds of listings.
NFU's Senior Web Editor Helen Cotterill said: "Our Food Finder is a great way to source local, quality food. Some produce often can not be found in supermarkets, as the producers do not have the quantities to supply the larger businesses.
"Local food is fresher, so it tastes better and is better for you. Buying local means there is no middle man, so you can be reassured that any money will go straight to the farmer and into the local economy."
